The National High School Rodeo Association was founded in 1949 with 13 states participating and 118 student entries. Since then, it has grown into an international organization with 33 states and two Canadian provinces and nearly 10,000 student members.

Through the National High School Rodeo Association, student members are able to improve their rodeo skills while attending high school. With an increasing availability of rodeo scholarships and sponsorships, many of these students continue their educations at colleges and universities while participating in various rodeos.

Tickets for the upcoming high school rodeo will be $6 a day for adults or $10 for a two-day pass. The admission for children ages 6-12 will be $2.50 a day for a two-day pass. Children under 6 will be admitted for free.
