SEMO CHAPTER CONFERENCE HOST

The Southeast Missouri State University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will host the 1996 national PRSSA conference in St. Louis.

David Christy, president of the chapter, said: "It's a great opportunity for our chapter and university. This will give our students hands-on experience in our field."

The chapter submitted a bid proposal at the 1995 National PRSSA Conference last month in Seattle.

The focus of the bid proposal was on the selection of a conference theme and accompanying logo. The Southeast chapter submitted the theme of "The New Global Spirit of PR." The bid also included a proposed listing of conference events, seminar sessions, speakers and budget.

The 1996 conference will be held Nov. 10-13 at the Marriott Pavilion. Beginning in January, the chapter will publish a monthly newsletter promoting next year's conference.
