WRITERS GUILD TO MEET SUNDAY

SIKESTON -- The Heartland Writers Guild will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sikeston.

The guild meets every second Sunday of each month and is composed of published and unpublished authors devoted to the promotion and support of the concept of professionalism in writing.

The guild conference will be held Aug. 4-7. It will consist of workshops taught by published authors, agents and editors. A highlight of the conference will be a Civil War re-enactment fashion show, which will feature clothing of the era from full gowns to uniforms.
