ORAN NATIVE RECEIVES NATIONAL AWARD FOR TEACHING

Pamela Todt Wilgus of Scottsdale, Ariz., recently received the Arizona Home Economics Teacher of the Year Award. She also placed in the top 10 for the National Home Economics Teacher of the Year Award.

Wilgus graduated from Oran High School in 1971 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1975. Recently she completed her master's degree in counseling at Northern Arizona University.

Wilgus is involved in leadership curriculum writing for Arizona State University, and she recently served as president of Arizona Vocational Home Economics. She teaches at Mountainside Middle School in Scottsdale.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Todt of Oran.
