WEST PARK MANAGER IS NAMED

An Illinois native, who has been in mall management since 1986, will become manager of West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau Aug. 1.

Karen Beckman, manager of East Town Mall, a 30-store shopping center in Green Bay, Wis., has been named manager of West Park. Her hiring was announced Thursday. Beckman replaces Tony Stephens, who resigned in April.

"I have visited Cape Girardeau, and am looking forward to my new position," Beckman said by telephone Thursday from Green Bay. "I'm excited about joining CenterMark."

CenterMark Properties Inc., based in St. Louis, operates West Park Mall.

Beckman, a native of Moline, Ill., has lived in the Green Bay area for 18 years.

Beckman will become the fifth manager of West Park Mall, which opened more than a dozen years ago.

West Park has 65 stores, including three anchor stores.
