BACK-TO-SCHOOL PARTY SET FOR TUESDAY AT JEFFERSON

The Cape Girardeau Parents as Teachers program will hold a back-to-school party Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary School, 520 S. Minnesota.

The event is open to parents of children from birth to 3 who live in the Cape Girardeau School District.

Activities include water play, an obstacle course, bean-bag toss, and wagon rides with Barney. Parents may also schedule their first home visit with a parent educator. A new parent educator, Kristin Mehner, will be available to meet parents.
