Robert Gosche, adviser, and 16 members of the Kelly Chapter of FFA attended the recent Area 12 FFA Leadership Conference at Delta High School.

Students were divided into groups to hear presentations about setting career goals and better communication skills.

While at the conference, the Kelly Chapter received recognition for the best corn display, best grain sorghum display and the best soybean display at the Southeast District Fair.

Plaques for this recognition were donated by Weldon Macke Farm Supply of Gordonville.

Blake Burger was recognized for first place in Swine Carcass Judging. A trophy was donated by Wayne Feed of Cape County.

The Kelly Chapter was also recognized for receiving second place in the farm mechanics display. A welder was given to the chapter by Metalweld of Dexter.

Steven Mitchel, national vice president from Arkansas, spoke to the first and second-hour agriculture classes.
