WASHINGTON-- Waylon Friese of Friedheim recently attended the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington.

It is a program for high school students who have demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic merit.

Friese, a junior at Oak Ridge High School, was among 350 national scholars at the conference.

The theme of the conference was The Leaders of Tomorrow Meeting the Leaders of Today.

During the six-day conference, Friese, son of Kenneth and Mary Friese of Friedheim, met with key leaders and news makers from the government, media and diplomatic corps.
