The program is designed to equip school board members with the knowledge and skills they need to function as effective education leaders in their communities. School board members achieve certification by completing a series of professional development activities which focus on areas identified as essential to effective school board service.

The MSBA is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to help school board members carry out their responsibilities and to advance the improvement of public education in Missouri.
