Two Southeast Missourians recently earned degrees at Regents College, the University of the State of New York.

James Andrew Lawrence of Cape Girardeau received a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and Mary Michele Spalding of Scott City received an associate degree in nursing.

Regents College is the oldest and largest assessment and evaluation institution in the United States and offers 26 associate and baccalaureate degrees.

The College has no residency requirements, and students can work for their college credits at home.
