Four Notre Dame High School seniors have received Missouri Higher Education Academic Scholarships, commonly known as Bright Flight scholarships. They are Daniel Newton, Adam Cox, Chrissy Auer and Chris Bucher. Four Notre Dame High School seniors have received Missouri Higher Education Academic Scholarships, commonly known as Bright Flight scholarships.

Newton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Newton of Cape Girardeau; Cox is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cox of Chaffee; Auer is the daughter of Margaret Auer and Andrew Auer of Cape Girardeau; and Bucher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bucher of Kelso.

The state scholarships are awarded to eligible Missouri residents who attend an approved Missouri college or university of their choice.

The Notre Dame students qualified for the $2,000 renewable scholarship because they scored 30 or better on the ACT.
