"Win or Win: A Season with Ron Shumate," published by the university foundation, recounts the story of the 1991-1992 Southeast men's basketball season, Southeast's first in NCAA Division I. Interwoven into the narrative are chapters about Coach Shumate's life, his tenure at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, his Division II years at Southeast, the university's decision to move to Division I, and the building of the Show Me Center.

The publication party is open to the public, and Hamblin will be available to answer questions about the making of his book. "Win or Win," along with Hamblin's book of poetry titled "From the Ground Up," will be for sale.
