David Kinder of Cape Girardeau was among 32 Texas Christian University students selected for membership in the TCU Student Foundation.
The 50-member organization serves as a liaison between the University and its alumni in addition to assisting with various divisions in such activities as fund-raising and student recruitment. The Student Foundation also conducts major projects, including a senior giving campaign, on its own. Its members host alumni groups, guide campus tours for the admissions division and represent TCU at various functions.
Kinder is majoring in finance with a minor in history. He is scholarship chairman for the Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity and secretary of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. He is a participant in the TCU honors program and serves on the student concerns committee.
Kinder also is active in several other projects, including the Tarrant County Big Brother Program, the TCU Student Ambassadors and the TCU Leadership programs.
The 1992 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Kinder.
