Kenneth Kessee of Cape Girardeau recently received the Cape Girardeau Legal Secretaries Scholarship. His application was then forwarded to the Missouri Association of Legal Secretaries. At their annual meeting, they awarded Kessee with first place honors in the state scholarship contest.

Kessee, son of Michael and Sandra F. Kessee, is a graduate of Clearwater High School in Piedmont, Missouri. In 1993 he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University summa cum laude, with a degree in English and philosophy. In the fall he will attend William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Va.
