The Greatest Show on Earth is returning to Cape Girardeau for an encore performance this summer at the Cape Girardeau Show Me Center.
Officials of Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus said the circus train will arrive in Cape Girardeau for performances on June 25-27.
The famed circus was in Cape Girardeau in June 1991, and played to large audiences. Tickets will go on sale in May.
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first circus in America, every child born in the United States in 1993 is being offered a free admission ticket for his or her first visit to the circus at anytime during the child's life.
