On Feb. 10, Missouri citizens who support the arts are invited to go to Jefferson City for Citizens Day at the Legislature to lobby for the arts in Missouri.

The event offers the opportunity to meet with Mary Kasten, Peter Kinder, David Schwab and other Southeast Missouri legislators to discuss the arts.

"Legislators can't keep up with everything and often don't know how much money the Missouri Arts Council spends in their districts," said Beverly Strohmeyer, executive director of Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts.
