ORAN STUDENT EARNS SCHOLARSHIP

ORAN -- Amy M. Bryeans of Oran has been awarded a Regents' Scholarship and Missouri Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University during the 1993-1994 academic year.

The Regents' Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who have achieved an ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1160 or have been named the valedictorian or salutatorian of their class and who have achieved an ACT score of 25 or SAT score of 1030. The award covers full-time fees per semester and is renewable for four years.

The Missouri Leadership Award is a one-year award designed for Missouri students who have achieved an ACT score of 23 and a 3.0 grade point average and have demonstrated leadership abilities. The award is applied toward residence hall fees.

Bryeans, a senior at Oran High School, plans to major in pre-medicine at Southeast. She is the daughter of Dwain and Marie Bryeans of Oran.
