PONDEROSA MOVES INTO BONANZA

Bonanza Restaurant will become Ponderosa Restaurant in Cape Girardeau.

Ponderosa Restaurant, which opened in Town Plaza Shopping Center almost two decades ago, will move into the building at 45 S. Kingshighway, which housed Bonanza. Bonanza closed last weekend.

"The Bonanza building will undergo a complete renovation," said Ponderosa general manager Ted Vanells. "A new parking area will be added to the rear of the building, along with a new entrance."

Vanells said the Bonanza building would provide more space and a banquet room.

"We'll open there as Ponderosa in June," he said.
