The workshop will include one hour of work in the classroom and two hours outdoors looking at wildflowers.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Charlie Wilson, a Cape Girardeau dentist and wildflower expert, and the park's seasonal naturalist, Jerry Landewe, who is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Interested persons need to register by calling the Visitors Center at 334-1711. There is no admission fee, but the class will be limited to 25 persons.

On April 24, the park will join in the Mississippi Valley Auto Tour by hosting a dogwood tour at the park.

The park naturalist will also host a program that day called "Snakes Alive" at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Live snakes will be used in the program, and children can handle these snakes.

No registration is necessary, and the program is open to the public.
