TUDENT IS ATTENDING JOURNALISM CONFERENCE

David Stephens of Cape Girardeau has been selected to attend the eighth annual Washington Journalism Conference this week in Washington.

Stephens is among 350 outstanding high school journalists nationwide attending the conference, sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council in cooperation with the National Press Club.

Stephens will meet with key spokespersons from government and the private sector. With more than 25 seminars and 40 speakers, the Washington Journalism Conference will give Stephens a firsthand look at the news industry from leaders in the fields of print, radio and television journalism.
