The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri will hold its first garage sale June 5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. "This is the first year for the garage sale," said Nancy Richards, administer for the shelter. "This is the first year for the garage sale," said Nancy Richards, administer for the shelter. "We are hoping to generate a lot of business. The shelter is in need of different fundraisers and we thought a garage sale would be an excellent way to benefit the shelter and the public."

The public is encouraged to donate any clothes, household items, small furnishings, or other items to the Humane Society. Donations will be accepted through May 30 and all unsold items will be donated to the Salvation Army. All proceeds go to the Humane Society.
