ARTWORK FEATURED AT OPEN HOUSE TODAY

An exhibit of art work by Roberta Grindstaff will be on display today at an open house of Someone's Treasure Clubhouse, a community-based program of the Community Counseling Center.

Grindstaff recently won the 1993 Director's Creative Showcase Award for Missouri.

The open house is planned to inform the public and area legislators about the health care service for people with serious mental illnesses. Someone's Treasure is a psychosocial rehabilitation center where members participate in activities necessary to secure gainful employment, housing and health care. Recreational and social activities are also planned.

Members participate in running a coffee shop, member's bank and kitchen. Clerical and public relations duties are carried out by members as part of pre-vocational training.
