The Cape Girardeau Area Vocational-Technical School will offer a Computer Camp this summer for students entering grades 7-9.

The camp will be July 12-23, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.

Students will learn how to use IBM personal computers and some beginning DOS. Most of the class time will be spent learning how to write simple programs using the BASIC programming language.

In order to take full advantage of the camp, students should be familiar with computers and have strong math skills.

The Vo-Tech school will also offer children's summer classes for ages 6-12, beginning June 7.

Three sessions of each class will be offered in crafts, magic, computers, intro to keyboarding, cooking and traveling to China or Mexico.

Classes will be held Monday through Thursday for two weeks, from 9-10:30 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In addition, two, one-week sessions of a cheerleader camp will be held from June 7-June 18, Monday through Thursday, from 9-10:30 a.m.
