The Common Pleas Courthouse parking lot will be a mecca for children and turtles during Riverfest.

The Turtle Race will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the parking lot. The Best Dressed Turtle Contest will follow.

Magician Bill Coomer will entertain the kids from 5:30-9:30 p.m. both days at the parking lot.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in arts, crafts and games from 4-7 p.m. today and from noon-7 p.m. Saturday.

Pierre `Pete' Boyer, a French historian, will not attend Riverfest this weekend, due to an injury. Boyer, a nationally known musician, folklorist and storyteller, was originally scheduled to perform as part of the children's activities at Riverfest, tonight and Saturday.

Added to the schedule is local performer Peter Dybing, who will entertain as Pocket the Clown. He will perform today from 4-6 p.m. and from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
