Southeast Missouri State University administrative, managerial and executive staff will make just over $53,000 on average for the 1994 fiscal year, officials said Wednesday.

The new fiscal year begins today.

Among Southeast's 403 faculty members, the average salary totals $41,351, said Art Wallhausen, assistant to the president.

The average salary of the school's 126 full professors is $50,397.

There are 107 associate professors. As a group, their average salary is $42,691.

There are 121 assistant professors, with an average salary of $35,563.

The 49 instructors make on average $29,455, university records show.

Of the 159 professional, non-faculty staff, the average salary is $27,215.

There are 191 clerical employees, with an average salary of $14,832. The 24 technical staff members have an average salary of $20,670.

Of the 72 crafts and trades employees at Southeast, the average salary for the new fiscal year is $24,515.

Southeast has 83 service employees. The average salary for that group is $16,094.

Overall, there are 578 non-faculty employees. Combined, the average salary totals $23,107, university records show.

Wallhausen said salary figures include merit pay.

Southeast's Board of Regents approved the 1994 fiscal year budget last month. At that time, the regents also awarded university President Kala Stroup with an $8,800 pay hike, raising her salary to $118,000.

The university Wednesday disclosed the salaries of its other top officials. They are:

Ken Dobbins, executive vice president, $94,000;

Provost Charles Kupchella, $90,000;

SueAnn Strom, vice president of student affairs, $82,000;

Martin Jones, dean of the College of Liberal Arts, $73,752;

Jesse Snowden, dean of the College of Science & Technology, $72,657;

Sheila Caskey, dean of the graduate school and extended learning, $72,389;

Lenore Bierbaum, dean of the College of Education, $71,338;

Robert Boissoneau, dean of the College of Health & Human Services, $70,361;

Don Ford, director of university development, $68,921;

John Hinni, dean of University Studies, $68,735;

Ron Shumate, basketball head coach, $68,350;

Fred Snider, assistant vice president of enrollment development, $65,260;

Richard McDuffie, athletics director, $64,462;

Jim Biundo, assistant vice president of university relations, $62,800;

William Duffy, assistant vice president of financial affairs, $62,800;

David Ross, Show Me Center manager, $58,830;

Don Krueger, director of the computer center, $53,840;
