Cape Girardeau businessman Thad Bullock has been appointed governor of the Toastmasters clubs in Anna and Carbondale, Ill. and in Farmington and Cape Girardeau.

Bullock has been involved with Toastmasters since 1962 and was named area governor at the meeting Tuesday of the High Noon Toastmasters at Reed's Restaurant in the Town House Inn motel.

Max James of Cape Girardeau was guest speaker at the meeting and recited the history of the battle of Cape Girardeau during the Civil War as recordedby James' grandfather. Toastmaster Sally Cargle also addressed the audience.
