ENTRIES SOUGHT FOR LITTLE MR. AND MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST IN JACKSON JULY 4

JACKSON -- Contestants are still being sought for the Little Mr. and Miss Firecracker Contest to be held during the Independence Day celebration Sunday.
The contest drew 20 entries in its first year last year, but only six had signed up by midweek this year.
The contest is for boys and girls in two age categories: 4-6 years and 7-9 years.

The entry fee is $10.
Winners will be awarded plaques and gifts, and every entrant will receive a gift.

The contest will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Courthouse Square gazebo.
