The Cape Girardeau Central High School pool will be closed to the public on Saturday, said Randy Barnhouse, aquatics coordinator with the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.

Barnhouse said 150 to 200 swimmers from the four-state region will participate in the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Swim Meet that will be held at the pool.

"The Capaha Park pool will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for morning laps, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for public swimming," said Barnhouse.
