Soroko's stay in Cape Girardeau has been funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Assembly of Local Arts Agencies.

He holds a bachelor's degree in theater and English literature from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a master's degree in acting from the University of Texas-Austin.

Students are asked to wear black seat pants, black socks and a plain black T-shirt, and to bring a notebook and pen. The cost is $25 per student.

July 30 is the deadline for registration. Phone the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts at 334-9233 for more information.
