PERRYVILLE -- Members of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission will discuss applying for disaster flood relief funds from the U.S. Economic Development Administration at their meeting today.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. at 1 West St. Joseph Street in Perryville.
Members will consider placing a coordinator in the planning office to gather information necessary to make application for funds. Input will also be gathered on potential infrastructure repair needs of counties and municipalities affected by the flood.
In other business, Executive Director Thomas G. Tucker will announce a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration for creation of a regional revolving loan fund. The fund will require a 25 percent local match.
The Village of Biehle, which was incorporated in 1990, has joined the commission. The City of Rocky Ridge has provided notice that as of June 17, 1993, it disincorporated and will no longer be a member of the commission.
