FREDRICKTOWN -- A Fred~ericktown woman was killed and two other people were injured Thursday afternoon in an automobile accident on Route J, about seven miles east of Fredericktown.

Crystal Woods, 31, was killed after her eastbound car struck a westbound vehicle driven by Debra Lee, 39, of Fredericktown.

A spokesman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that Woods was changing lanes on the two-lane highway, when she crested a hill and collided with Lee's car head on.

Lee was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown to be treated for serious injuries.

Lee's passenger, Verdon Payne, 68, of Fredericktown, was moderately injured in the accident and was also transported to Madison Memorial Hospital.
