Beth N. Farrow of Cape Girardeau and Vicki M. Kraemer of Jackson have been award a University of Missouri curators scholarship.

Outstanding Missouri high school students are offered the scholarships by the university's governing body, the Board of Curators, to encourage the brightest young people to remain in the state.

Scholarship winners must score at or above the 90th percentile on a standardized college entrance test and rank in the top three or top three percent of their graduating class, depending on its size. Students are nominated by their high school principal or counselor.

Curators Scholarships cover educational fees for the first academic year and may be renewed in succeeding years, provided the recipient meets stringent academic standards.

Farrow plans to attend the University of Missouri at Columbia. She is a graduate of Jackson High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Farrow.

Kraemer plans to attend the University of Missouri at Rolla. She is a graduate of Jackson High School the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kraemer.
