Darron Jansen of Oran and Andrew French of Painton have been awarded a University of Missouri-Columbia College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources scholarship for the 1993-94 academic year.

Jansen, son of David and Charlotte Jansen, is a junior at UMC majoring in Ag Mechanization.

French is the son of Joe and Cynthia French and a junior at UMC majoring in Agricultural Economics.

The Spiese Fund in Agriculture was established in 1988 as a result of a bequest from the estate of Helen Mae Spiese and provides scholarships for undergraduate students from the Bootheel.
