Richard Wilburn has been promoted to senior vice president at Mercantile Bank of Cape Girardeau, and heads the bank's commercial lending department.
Wilburn's promotion was announced recently by O.J. (Ollie) Miller, president and CEO at the bank. Other appointments and promotions announced by Miller included Steve Wright, Wayne Nesslein, Cheryl Bollinger, Linda Koch, and Carolyn McElrath.
Wilburn joined Mercantile two years ago. He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a B.S. in AgriBusiness. He worked with the Farm Credit System before joining Mercantile. He is a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce. Wilburn and his wife, Regina, reside in Cape Girardeau. They have two sons, Elliot and Tyler.
Wright was promoted to vice president and manages the consumer loan department. He has a B.S. in Management and is a graduate of the Southwest GRaduate School of Banking in Dallas, Tex.
Wright is a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce and the Noon Optimists. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Cape Girardeau. They have two sons, Scott and Corey.
Nesslein, who has 21 years of experience in financing, joined Mercantile early last year. He has been appointed as assistance vice president and is real estate loan officer. He is a member of the Elks Lodge 636, Knights of Columbus, Cape County Board of Realtors, and the chamber of commerce. Nesslein and his wife, Connie, live in Cape Girardeau. They have two daughters, Wendy and Beth.
Bollinger has been promoted to assistant cashier. She has been with Mercantile Bank 16 years. She and her husband, Terry Bollinger, live in Fruitland. They have one son, Matthew.
Koch has been appointed data procession officer. She has worked at Mercantile 13 years. Koch and her husband, Gary Koch, reside in Cape Girardeau. They have three daughters, Christina, Crystal and Cassie.
McElrath was promoted to Compliance/CRA officer. She has been with Mercantile since 1980. She is a member of Excelsior Optimists, Cape County Women of Law Enforcement, Demolay Mothers Club, Missouri State Troopers Association Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star. McElrath and her husband Leo, McElrath live in Jackson. They have two sons, Leo Jr., and Eric.
