DELTA -- Delta voters will consider races for school board and Ward I alderman when they go to the polls Tuesday.

Three candidates are vying for two three-year posts on the Delta Board of Education. They include: Keith M. Cook, Phil S. Thompson, and Don Dinkins.

In Delta Aldermen Ward I, Cindy Dunning Williams and Kendall Bowers will face off. Haskel E. Rooker is running unopposed in Ward II.

A race has also developed for Delta City Collector with candidates Beverly Hefner and Dorothy Bowers.

Delta Mayor Paul Evans is running unopposed.

Citizens living in the Public Water District No. 2 will also ask voters Tuesday for permission to expand the system.

In Pocahontas, six candidates are running for five two-year terms on the board of trustees. Candidates are: Mark Kasten, Richard Winter, Marjorie Swan, Clinton Reisenbichler, Stanley Unterreiner and Wilbert Reisenbichler.

In Whitewater, four candidates are running for three two-year terms on the board of trustees. They are: Marilyn Marie Crites, Jerome Foster, James Rex Haynes, and Doyle W. Eakins.
