The Louis K. Juden Post 63 of the American Legion will conduct its annual American Flag Disposal Ceremony on Flag Day June 14. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Home, Highway 61 at Interstate 55. All legion members are urged to attend, and the ceremony is open to the public...

The Louis K. Juden Post 63 of the American Legion will conduct its annual American Flag Disposal Ceremony on Flag Day June 14.

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Home, Highway 61 at Interstate 55. All legion members are urged to attend, and the ceremony is open to the public.

Charles Woodford, Flag Day ceremony chairman, said, "Businesses, organizations and individuals who have flags that are tattered, torn, stained, dirty or otherwise unserviceable are urged to route them to the American Legion for a dignified and honorable retirement."

The flags may be turned in to any legion member or dropped off at the service desk at Schnucks. For more information, contact the American Legion at 335-0305.
