PERRYVILLE -- Sabreliner Corp. received the U.S. Small Business Administration's "Award for Excellence" at ceremonies last month in Arlington, Va. The award was given as part of National Small Business Week.
The St. Louis-based company was nominated by the U.S. Army Aviation Systems Command (AVSCOM) for its performance in rebuilding and testing Army helicopter engines. The nomination noted Sabreliner's "can do and cooperative attitude," attributed $2 million in savings "to the diligent efforts of this contractor" and recognized Sabreliner for proposing and meeting "an accelerated delivery schedule for the first unit quantity of 100 engines."
Sabreliner chairman and chief executive officer, F. Holmes Lamoreux, said: "We are gratified that the Army chose to nominate Sabreliner Corp. and that the Small Business Administration has recognized the quality of work that is a hallmark of our service to government and commercial customers alike."
Sabreliner Corp. is a diversified service, modification and manufacturing firm that supports a variety of commercial, government and military aircraft, engines, systems and components.
