ST. LOUIS - A Dexter firm has received its second Outstanding Performance Award within a five-year period from the Army Corps of Engineers for work in the Lake Wappapello area.

Seminole Ag-Lime Inc. of Dexter was cited by the Corps' St. Louis District office for its revetment and bank stabilization work along the St. Francois River (Lake Wappapello) to protect a cemetery near the Old Greenville Campground, west of Highway 67.

Col. James D. Craig, commander and the St. Louis district engineer, presented the award to Norman B. Harty of N.B. Harty, General Contractors, who owns Seminole Ag-Lime. The presentation was made last week in the Corps' Southeast Missouri office in Cape Girardeau.

The company's first Outstanding Performance Award was for work performed at the Lake Wappapello Dam spillway.
