She has been selected to receive two merit-based scholarships at TCU, located in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a TCU Distinguished Scholar and winner of the M.E. Sadler Merit Scholarship.

She has also been selected to participate in both the TCU Honors Program and the TCU Leadership Development Program. Ford will be studying in the College of Arts and Sciences as a pre-professional major.
She is the daughter of Don and Carolyn Ford.
