The program will close with Benjamin Britten's "Simple Symphony" for string orchestra. A four-movement work, the composition draws its inspiration from the Baroque dance suite.

The soloists on the program are all faculty members of the university's music department.

Appearing as soloists will be: Heidi Bergman, violinist; Robert Fruehwald, flutist; Gary Miller, harpsichordist, and Louisa Panou-Takahashi, soprano. The orchestra will be directed by Sara Edgerton, assistant professor of music at Southeast.

The concert is free and open to the public. Donations for music department programs will be accepted at the door.
