Workshop on Wheels will present a program on "Whole Language" on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Early Childhood Center, 1912 Broadway.

Teachers and home providers will learn how to incorporate a writing center into their curriculum. Children begin to grasp the concept of reading and writing between the ages of two and six, but developmentally appropriate techniques must be used to encourage this emerging skill. Activities and various teaching strategies will be highlighted and then illustrated with children's work by Linda Hill.
