ELKS RECOGNIZE TWO AS STUDENTS OF MONTH

Jennifer Messmer and Kyle F. Chasteen have been named Students of the Month for November by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.

Messmer, 17, is the daughter of Mary Gardener and Dean Messmer. She is a senior at Notre Dame High School.

Messmer has been active in volleyball, cheerleading, softball, the Pep Club and the school play. She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University and pursue a nursing career.

Chasteen, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher O. Chasteen of Cape Girardeau. He is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Chasteen has been active in varsity cross country, varsity track, National Honor Society, Young Life, Spanish Club and Letterman's Club. He was a delegate to Missouri Boys State. He plans to major in engineering in college.
