Cape Girardeau native Patrick Sommers has joined Ceridian Corp. as president of Ceridian Employer Services.

Sommers, who has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University, succeeds Patrick Delaney, who is retiring from Ceridian after 27 years.

Sommers previously served as president of GTE Information Services. Prior to joining GTE, he was president of Dunn & Bradstreet Information Resources Inc.

Ceridian Corp., an information management and employer services company, is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minn.

Mark Moyers of Farmington has joined the staff of I.V. Care Inc., 63 Doctors Park.

Moyers is a registered pharmacist who has been practicing at Potosi. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy.

Prior to going to Potosi, he worked three years at Blytheville, Ark. He recently relocated to Cape Girardeau.

I.V. Care provides in-home intravenous infusion therapy to patients. It includes medical, anesthetic and nutritional service.

Firm owner Randy Morse said: "This is for patients who require IV therapy but are medically stable, not requiring hospitalization. It is an alternative setting to a hospital."

Morse said in-home IV therapy has developed in the last few years. He started I.V. Care Inc. last September.

JACKSON Shery Varney has joined Select-A-Style beauty salon at 204 N. Washington in Jackson as hair stylist.

Varney has nine years of experience as a hair stylist. She previously owned and operated a salon at Jackson and specializes in precision cuts, specialty perms and acrylic nails.

Varney and her husband, Gordon Varney, live in Millersville, and are parents of a son, Trevor.

Allen Trovillion has joined Cape Electrical Supply Inc., as manager of The Lightning Center.

John Daniel, president of the firm, announced Trovillion's appointment.

Trovillion, a native of Belleville, Ill., recently relocated to Cape Girardeau from San Francisco, where he spent five years managing A residential lighting center.

Allen's wife, Andrea, is a coronary care nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The Lighting Center recently relocated from William Street to 325 Christine, and is one of seven branch operations of Cape Electric Supply, a distributor of electrical supplies. Other branches are at Arnold, Flat River, Sikeston and Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Paducah, Ky.; and Marion, Ill. The firm also has a sales office in Blytheville.

Brad Estes has joined Commercial Real Estate Specialists Inc., 125 Broadview, Suite 7, Cape Girardeau.

Estes, who has been involved in retail and direct sales for 10 years,recently acquired his real estate license. He most recently served s sales representative and sales manager for Data Businesses Systems.

Estes resides in Cape Girardeau.
