JACKSON, Mo. -- Kelly Denise Hitt and Matthew Christian McCurry were married Sept. 2, 2000, at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Dennis Lumos performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist and guitarist was Russ Hitt of Jackson, brother of the bride. Vocalists were Kara Whitledge of Cape Girardeau, and Hitt.

Parents of the bride are Gerald and Donna Hitt of Jackson. The groom is the son of Lonnie and Pamela McCurry of Chickamauga, Ga.

Maids of honor were Kara Whitledge, and Erika Reppen of Colorado Springs, Colo. Matrons of honor were Gennifer Heberlie of Cape Girardeau and Jill Amelung of St. Louis.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Christopher McCurry of Anderson, S.C., brother of the groom; Steve Ferrell of Portland, Ore.; and Russ Hitt. Ushers were David Miller of Louisville, Ky., and Michael Livesay of Knoxville, Tenn.

Guest book attendants were Alissa Blechle and Tara Dameron, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 1 at Royal N'Orleans in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. McCurry received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998. She is employed at Pamplin Distribution.

The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in religion from Belmont University in 1995. He is employed at Pamplin Distribution.

The couple lives in Anderson.
