JACKSON, Mo. -- Andrea Kathryn Welker and Christopher Britton Livingston exchanged vows June 16, 2001, at Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Jim Matthews performed the double ring ceremony. Celtic harpist was Sophanisba Gathman of Pocahontas, Mo.

Parents of the bride are Loy and Mary Kay Welker of Jackson. The groom is the son of Kenneth Livingston of Fruitland, Mo., and the late Cathy Livingston of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Samantha Brown of Cape Girardeau, and matron of honor was Emily Gardner of Webster Groves, Mo. Bridesmaids were Leah Wessel, Courtney Boren and Susan Stricklin, all of Cape Girardeau.

Jason Cheek of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Ralph Craig of Cape Girardeau; John Wondel of Jackson, brother of the bride; Jason Oslund and Tim Price of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Barry Gray of Cape Girardeau and the groomsmen.

Shana Brown of Jackson attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge. Servers were Carole Rhodes and Dianne Brown of Cape Girardeau; Julie Penney of Gun Barrel City, Texas, aunt of the groom; and Kara Sissom of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom.

The groom hosted the rehearsal dinner June 15 at Drury Lodge.

Mrs. Welker-Livingston is a 1996 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University in May. She is a metabolism chemist in the Animal Health Division of Eli Lilly and Co.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in recreation from Southeast University in 1999. He is a photographer with Wilbur Tague Studios in Indiana.

The couple resides in Indianapolis, Ind.
