SINCE I'VE had cancer, my next-door neighbor puts away my trash can every Monday morning. When I get home the cans are already put away. It's one less thing that I need to do. I HAVE some of the best neighbors Lloyd and Jill Pinkley. They are always doing something for me. They put my newspaper in my garage, clean my gutters and so many other things. Lloyd is always fixing something for me. They have done so much for me, I just wanted to say thank you very much...

Good deeds from neighbors

I HAVE some of the best neighbors Lloyd and Jill Pinkley. They are always doing something for me. They put my newspaper in my garage, clean my gutters and so many other things. Lloyd is always fixing something for me. They have done so much for me, I just wanted to say thank you very much.

Kindness every day

I HAVE a neighbor, Harold Ellis who performs acts of kindness every day. He gives and offers himself in anyway he can. He mows my lawn. He has done this for over 10 years. I want to let him know how much I appreciate him.

Leave president's home

I THINK it is such a shame SEMO is thinking about turning the president's home at Wildwood into an alumni center. The university has torn down so many of the wonderful older homes of the Cape Girardeau community to make way for what they call progress. It would be a crying shame to turn that beautiful home into anything but leaving it as the president's home. It is one of the most beautiful houses in Cape Girardeau. Please don't let them do this.

Students expresses thanks

BILLY CURTIS, a first grader at Orchard Drive Elementary in Jackson, gave a big smile, a thank you and chocolates to three teachers to make sure he is safely crossing the street.

A birthday dinner

MY SISTER'S neighbor is cooking dinner for me. She found out that my birthday was May 13. I am 79 years young.

Someone who cares

I HAVE a friend who helps us all when we have socials at the church. She always sees that the refreshments are ready to be served. She checks on me every Sunday morning at church after calling during the week. She's one of the greatest.
