I JUST returned from Cape and the big stores, I'm having leg trouble. I'm like a cripple with my leg, and I cannot walk through the big stores the way it is. I got to the front, and there were no benches to sit down and rest to wait on someone who's with you. I was wondering if there is something that can be done about these big stores having places for people to sit. You get old, you're tired, and the stores are so big. Would you please put that in the paper?...

Put resting places in big stores

I JUST returned from Cape and the big stores, I'm having leg trouble. I'm like a cripple with my leg, and I cannot walk through the big stores the way it is. I got to the front, and there were no benches to sit down and rest to wait on someone who's with you. I was wondering if there is something that can be done about these big stores having places for people to sit. You get old, you're tired, and the stores are so big. Would you please put that in the paper?

High crimes, misdemeanors

I HAVE a book titled "Your Rugged Constitution" which was published by Stanford University Press. In there it describes the other high crimes and misdemeanors that everyone has been talking about so much, and its says it's acts which are morally wrong or have been forbidden by laws. It does seem to me what the president did does fit this criteria.

What's impeachable?

I'D LIKE to know what the Democrats consider impeachable offense as I keep hearing on the news that they say what Clinton did is not impeachable. If it isn't, what is?

He hasn't hurt the nation

AFTER READING weeks of comments about President Clinton in Speak Out and talking about it to friends, relatives and people in general, I still say if he would have lied about smuggling money or about giving money to foreign trade or for nuclear war, then we would be in trouble. But we are in no better shape now as we were before this information came out as a nation. The nation is what is important, the United States of America. What President Clinton did was wrong, morally and ethically, but that does not give us any position to judge thy neighbor. He has done something wrong. He has admitted to it. But he has not hurt our nation. We are still in the same dilemma we were in before this came out, and we will be in the same position after this is out. Let's go on. Let's move forward from here.

Rain affects cable viewing

I DON'T care what excuses TCI/Falcon Cable comes up with for losing the quality of their cable signal every time it rains. The truth is, other cities do not suffer this quality loss every time it rains, and it is far past time the city of Cape and the cable committee address this issue.

Letters represent far right

THIS IS to the editor of the Missourian. I do not see why you keep printing those letters from Carol Poole. You know that she is speaking for the far right and all those hate groups. I would think twice before I would print any more of her letters.

Who is the enemy?

THE DEMOCRATIC Party has become the people who have lost morality, home to the perverts, home to the homosexuals, the gay community, home to the people who think there's nothing wrong with this, home to the atheists, home to the abortion groups which they call a choice to murder, home to the welfare state which has ruined the lives of millions who think the country owes them a living without obligation. It's a party headed by the biggest liar, adulterer, sex pervert that ever took a breath. And who is the enemy? Why, it's the people who fight against abortion and the life of the unborn, the people who want safe, disciplined schools with higher standards, the people who want a decent environment to raise their children away from pornographic and perverted lifestyles and unsafe neighborhoods, the people who want to stop paying taxes for every program the Democrats have passed, the people who want the slime out of the White House and the people who want God back in their nation.

Devil is doing a dance

TO THE person who said the devil is happy, do you think the devil is happy with the perversion in the White House? I bet he's dancing in the streets.

Good highway choices

I WOULD like to applaud the Missouri Department of Transportation for its decision on the highways in and around Jackson. I think it's about time Oak Ridge got its interchange, and I'm glad to see Highway 34 improvements. Now if we could improve Highway 25 also. How many people must be killed on these highways before they're finally improved? Oak Ridge stood in line and waited its turn. Now it's getting an interchange. Jackson should do the same and not act like a spoiled little child, crying every time it doesn't go their way. If all the roads in the county were improved, there wouldn't be so much traffic through Jackson. Also, is Gerald Jones representing the county or is he a Jackson alderman? He should be thankful for the Oak Ridge interchange and improvements in the county he represents, not helping Jackson prove its case for an interchange, which is a highway to nowhere.

Get decoration thieves

I WOULD combat these thieves who every Christmas steal decorations that people work so hard for and go to great expense for the enjoyment of different people to drive by. These no-good thieves don't care about anybody. I would like to have rewards for arrest and prosecution of these thieves. If anyone sees a large sized Santa Claus that is almost 6 feet tall, I will give a large reward to get possession of that Santa plus prosecution of these thieves. I'd like to bring them to justice, and I would like to see a heavy fine or jail term to stop this. I think we need to act on it. I've been doing decorations for 10 years, and I've been ripped off, ripped off and ripped off. Let's get everyone of them.

Glad to have information

TO THE lady in Jackson who wrote to the Missourian Sept. 28 and Oct. 6: Thank you for this information. I and many others cannot access the Internet, if this your source of information as suggested by one reader. You have, by your courage and efforts, objected openly to what will destroy our country if we are unwilling to get behind those in Washington who want William Jefferson Clinton impeached. Write your senators and representatives now. Don't let the TV networks with their polls represent you. Stand up and be counted now.
