THANK YOU, Speak Out. Though it has been several weeks since we had the citywide spring cleanup, I am still impressed with the speedy and neat job that the men did. They always do a great job. This year was no exception. Thanks, guys. Way to go. RANDOM acts of kindness are nice for one week out of the year, but why can't we be this way every day? Nothing compares to a lifelong friend who is there for you when you really need her. Thanks again, Chris...

Nothing beats a lifelong friend

RANDOM acts of kindness are nice for one week out of the year, but why can't we be this way every day? Nothing compares to a lifelong friend who is there for you when you really need her. Thanks again, Chris.

Public schools deserve praise

THANKS AND praise to our public school system. Thank you, Thomas Jefferson, for your wisdom in promoting education for everyone. Our wonderful public schools accept all of God's children. They accept children and students regardless of their race, religion, handicaps, wealth and health. They accept and work with and through many handicapped children's everyday personal problems. Even when the public schools are overcrowded, they do not turn any one away. God bless public schools and those who work with and attend public schools.

Ambulance crew clears the road

I WOULD like to thank the Cape County Private Ambulance Service. We noticed them in Jackson the other day when they were there performing a public duty. There was some equipment in the road, and the ambulance crew stopped. They didn't have to do this, we realize, but they stopped on their daily duties -- we realize they are very busy -- and cleared the road so it would not cause a traffic accident. That was very nice.

Cape Team USA appreciates volunteers

CAPE TEAM USA would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Cape area youth volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Thank you to everyone who started this program 11-plus years ago. A special thanks to Michael for working so hard on the fields so that we may play our games.

Thanks for the impromptu concert

DURING RANDOM acts of kindness week, I would like to thank two small boys on Montgomery Street for putting on a little impromptu concert. Each one had a horn and was sitting on the front porch playing some songs. I was outside. It really made me feel good to hear these two young boys playing these horns. It really made my day. I did not go over and thank them, but I wanted to let them know how good it sounded when I walked out my door.
