SPEAKOUT
I URGE good Christians in your contributions to put aside a certain amount for food and medical care for the elderly, the needy and the poor. People in Congress have no heart. They want to cut every benefit in the name of balancing the budget. Also a lot of fine people put their faith in the last election in the wrong people...Give from the heart

Crime and time
IT MAKES people wonder what's wrong with our legal system when Kenneth Johnson gets seven years for killing a young child and this other man gets 25 years for armed robbery. Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that?
Deadbeats and licenses
I AM calling about the proposed Illinois law that would take away driver's licenses from deadbeat dads. This is a good thing, but I would bet that the police will be more on the lookout for these people than the people who have DWI's and have their licenses suspended. I know too many people who are without licenses because of driving while drinking. You watch and see, they'll be pulling these deadbeat dads over all the time if they are driving because they didn't pay their child support.

A good program
I JUST wanted to say thanks to the ABC television network for the wonderful show entitled "Gettin' Over," and it showed young children who have had problems and how they motivated themselves to overcome these problems and make something out of their lives. As a parent, as a teacher, I think parents and teachers as well should encourage their children to watch shows like this. I think it gives hope for the youth of our future. It was fantastic. It's nice to see things like this on television as opposed to the violence and sex-related issues that are often broadcast.
Grow up
THE PERSON threatening to deface the mural if Rush Limbaugh is on it is nothing but a petty terrorist and would be spending a lot of time in jail and paying a lot of high fines. Why don't you people grow up?
Whining Democrats?
I THOUGHT the Republican victory in November was splendid but what makes the victory even sweeter are these whining, crying Democrats who keep calling Speak Out. I love it, I love it, I love it. Keep those lines and cries coming, because they really help me get my day started off right.
