To much dog doo-doo

TO THE people who walk their dogs: Will you please pick up after them? I have dogs too but I don't let them use the neighbor's yards. If they happen to get out of the fenced yard, I at least have enough respect for my neighbors to go and clean up after them. I've had visitors getting out of their cars, stepped in the dog doo-doo and carried into the house and on my rugs, which I have to have cleaned after that. I don't think you would like to get this bill. I know who you are and where you live. Besides this isn't being a very good neighbor. Just stop and think about it. Do you want them to do unto you as you do unto them?

Trash explanation

IN RESPONSE to the person who called about people's trash in their front yard. I don't think he or she realizes that there are extenuating circumstances. You have to pay for trash service here, while in other cities you don't have to, because it's paid for through taxes. A lot of people in the area mentioned are pretty well poverty stricken. They do well to survive from day to day, wondering if their electricity is going to be turned off or if their water's going to be turned off. They don't probably have the money to have their lawn mowed and maintained or they cannot afford the machinery. So there are a lot things you look into before you go throwing stones at somebody's house. In a way, a lot of times it's society's fault. If we would take better care instead of criticizing, I think the world would be a better place to live.

The Vietnam decision

IT APPEARS Bill Clinton has give the American taxpayers another country to support when making friends with Vietnam. This will only drain money from the American taxpayers just like all the other foreign countries are doing. And these politicians want to cut programs in this country. A man who refused to serve in that conflict should not have the right to make relations with Hanoi. When is the American taxpayer going to stand up and vote every senator and congressman out of office who is for this agreement with the Vietnamese? We are sending money to Russia, who used to our enemy, and how many countries are we sending the American taxpayers' dollars to?
